Most people will agree that, besides skill, you need to be quite tall to play in the NBA. However, this is not always the case and Tyrone Curtis “Muggsy” Bogues is a testament to that.
He is a retired American professional basketball player and the shortest NBA player ever with the height of only 5 ft 3 in (1.60 m). Despite his height he managed to have a successful career in the NBA and he was a great passer, ball-stealer, and one of the fastest players on the court. Here’s an interesting fact for you - when he was in his rookie year, Bogues was a teammate of Manute Bol who was 7 ft 7 in (2.31 m) tall. They were the tallest and shortest players in NBA history at the time, and a difference between them was an amazing 28 inches (71 cm).
